Spot the scam, keep your accounts safe
Crypto does not have a fraud department you can call. Once a transaction is signed, it is final. That makes prevention the only real defense. This guide covers the scam types that hit XRP and crypto users most often, how to recognise each one, and the habits that keep your accounts and your funds where they belong.

Phishing
Phishing is when a scammer pretends to be a real company to steal your login or seed phrase. It usually arrives as an email, a DM, or a fake website that looks almost identical to the real one. The tell is the URL: a real exchange is coinbase.com, a fake one might be coinbase-support.io or coinbase-login.net. Never enter your password or seed phrase on a site you reached from a link. Type the address yourself, or use a bookmark you trust.
